This Aboriginal health paradigm is beginning to be supported more widely. Among other things, the Productivity Commission recognises that there are many things that impact on the health of Indigenous people (eg, unemployment, education and overcrowded households) and that some of these should be measured so that strategies can be developed with a view to improving people's health. Pangula Mannamurna also recognises the significance of traditional institutions on Indigenous people's health, including land. In regard to land, it believes that the development of Indigenous Land Use Agreements with substantive economic rights will have a positive impact of Indigenous people's health.
