If your complaint is against us, please complete the form below: If you don't feel comfortable in raising your issue with us or if your complaint can't be resolved, there are other agencies that you can approach. Complaints to the Health & Community Services Complaints Commissioner If your complaint can't be resolved, you have the right to take it to Health & Community Services Complaints Commissioner (HCSCC). The HCSCC was established by the Health and Community Services Complaints Act (SA) 2004. The HCSCC helps people resolve complaints about health and community services, when a direct approach to the service provider is either unreasonable, or has not succeeded. For information click on the link below: Complaints against nurses The Nurses Board of South Australia (the Board) is the body that investigates the professional conduct of nurses who are registered or enrolled under the Nurses Act (SA) 1999. The Registrar or any other person may lay a complaint before the Board alleging that a nurse provided nursing care without having or exercising adequate or sufficient knowledge, experience or skill. Complaints against medical practitioners The Medical Practice Act (SA) 2004 provides for complaints about a medical practitioner in relation to their professional conduct, fitness to practice (health) and/or professional performance. The Medical Board of SA is required to inquire into the subject matter unless it considers the compliant frivolous. If the complaint is more appropriately handled by another agency, it will be referred to that agency, with the complainant’s permission.
