Dr Letitia Kavanagh has been providing services throughout the South East Region. The GP bulk-bills, which means that there is no cost to the patient. In order to be bulk-billed, you need to be enrolled with Medicare. If you aren't already enrolled with Medicare, do so today by filling out the form below. If you need assistance, contact us at Pangula Mannamurna. Mount Gambier clinics are held on Thursday mornings, between 8:30am-11:30am. Places are available for drop-in visits, but you should make an appointment to make sure of seeing the doctor. Monthly clinics are also held in Bordertown, Naracoorte, Millicent and Kingston. Time has also been set aside to conduct health checks. It is instead offering a service to Indigenous people who would not otherwise go to a GP. Pangula Mannamurna's service also includes an Aboriginal Health Worker as the first point of contact. Although Dr Kavanagh has been delivering services throughout the South East, it is hoped that arrangements can be made to improve Indigenous peoples' access to local GPs outside of Mount Gambier and that Dr Kavanagh will be able to concentrate on providing services in the new facility. In particular, it is hoped that the GP team will be able to focus more on conducting health checks, developing care plans and participating in case conferences for our clients. If you are an Indigenous person living in the South East and have experienced problems in accessing a GP, please let us know so that we can attempt to improve future services. NB: if a GP doesn't bulk-bill, you can always ask them to; that is not to say that they will, but many GPs will bulk-bill those who ask.
