alternative care

Alternative Care is a community service that provides support for families who are going through tough times. The main goal for everyone working together in Alternative Care is getting families back together in a safe and caring environment. For more information, click on the link below:

Pangula Mannamurna currently works closely with a 0.6 FTE Reunification Worker and and 0.6 FTE Foster Care Worker who are employed under the Alternative Care Program for the Souh East. In particular, Pangula provides local knowledge and cultural advice.

The Alternative Care System in South Australia is the subject of Chapter 11 of the 2003 Child Protection Review. The Chapter summarises the general nature of submissions; acknowledges the Semple Report with its associated recommendations; and makes further recommendations.
